(Icingcan be made to any quantity using a 1:4 ratio)

Ingredients
  

  • 250gr solite (white vegetable shortening)
  • 1 kg pure icing sugar
  • vanilla essence to taste
  • 100ml warm water {variable (use less water to make a firmer icing)}
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Place solite in mixing bowl and beat for 1 minute to precondition.
  • Gradually add the icing sugar and water alternately, mixing well between additions.
  • Scrape bowl to ensure even distribution of ingredients
  • Add vanilla to taste (Or any flavour you choose)
  • Once all of the ingredients are added mix on a low speed for 5 minutes until smooth
    (By keeping the mixing speed low there is less chance of air bubbles developing)
  • Any flavouring or colour can be added to mixture.
    *I like to useĀ  butter flavour and a small amount of vanilla
